Kung Fu Studio Class Description

SHAOLIN YOGA & MEDITATION

This class features the Muscle Tendon Changing/Marrow Washing Series, 14 standing and 8 moving exercises taught as the Pre-Birth foundation for Shaolin Kung Fu. Buddhist Meditation techniques are also covered in this class.

KUNG FU STRENGTH

This class features Shaolin Lohan Strengthening Exercises for the legs, abdomen, low back, shoulders, neck, and arms. These exercises also increase movement art skills.

KUNG FU

This class features "Spring Steel Legs" Kung Fu as form/"kata" to train self-defense, body mechanics, aerobic capacity, and movement art skills. Upon completion of "Spring Steel Legs" Kung Fu, traditional Northern Shaolin Kung Fu forms are practiced.

TAI CHI FORM

This class features the Yang Cheng Fu Yang Long Form, as modified by Grand Master Kuo Yu- Cheung. This class is open to all students who elect not to study Kung Fu initially.

TAOIST YOGA & TAI CHI

This class features the Taoist North Star Chi Kung Series (Chi Kung = Energy Strengthening Exercise) and the Pre-Birth Tai Chi Foundation Series for internal energy development and movement skills.

YOGA STRENGTH

This class features 5 series of Yoga Asanas (asana = pose) that develop total body strength and will power while increasing energy flow in the body. Series featured include the for flexibility and meditation practice. Pranayama, or "breathing science," for energy development and concentration power, is also practiced.

THAI KICKBOXING

This class features Muay Thai, the ultimate punching, kicking, kneeing, and punching martial art from Thailand, for self-defense skill, aerobic capacity and total muscle conditioning.

STRENGTH CIRCUIT

This class features two-person Greco-Roman Wrestling drills for explosive muscular power.
